A Bowman Bay Moment

Our family camped at Bowman Bay, WA every year for over 10 years in a row. All of us still see it has THE place to camp. It is over on the Puget Sound and as you can imagine it rains quite a bit. Some years we would only get slight showers or even just misty mornings and other years we would only get one day of sun.

Last night the girls convinced Jeremy to light a fire in a little pit so they could roast marshmallows. It was clouding up, but I never thought it would do more than spit a little. I was wrong. It started to spit and then became a full on down pour.

And at Bowman Bay when it rains, it pours. We had the rain and the campfire smell in the area. It just brought back all those great camping memories.

None of us have gone camping there in the years since my parents moved to Kenya. It is kind of an all or none thing when it comes to family participation, but we might have to break that next year. I am not sure how much longer I can wait.
