Christmas Day

We picked Marvin up Christmas Eve night on our way home.

I have to admit I did not take a lot of pictures on Christmas Day. I do not know if I took so many the day before that I was burnt out or the fact that I was just too busy to remember to pick up my camera.

This Marvin helping me make Christmas breakfast. We made biscuits and gravy and bacon popovers. Marv made the biscuits all himself. It was all very good.

I had never made popovers before, but they were very good. I will definitely do it again.

Here is us in our Christmas pjs. I made all of us pajama pants and then bought us the t-shirts.

I wrote our nicknames on the back. Luken's says Lukinator and Sam's says Sammy. You cannot read them very well.

We got one of the best gifts this year from Linda and Dave, Randi's parents. They bought them tickets so they could come here for Christmas. We had all of them up for Christmas snacking.

The above picture is Largent, Randi's little brother.

This is Linda and Dave, Randi's parents. Randi don't tell you mom this picture is here. I could find myself in trouble.

Brother Jake, Sister Brittney and Brother Marvin barely making it into the picture.

Aunt Randi with Anjahli - I am pretty sure this was the first time they had met.

And here we are - five of the eight Leister children with families. We are just missing my parents, Josh and family, Troy, and Dannon. And you were all very much missed.

Justin - I am sorry, but this was the best picture I got. The other possibility had your wife looking rather grumpy.

Makayla and Addi Jane

Sam and Caedmon

We almost did not get Caedmon to come into the house. Jake told me he was so looking forward to being outside in the snow, which we only have a little of right now. It was enough for Caedmon though.

We had a wonderful Christmas day. Thank you everyone for the food and fun you brought.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always a very busy day for us. We always go to spend the afternoon and evening with Jeremy's Mom and grandparents.

Here we are right before we left. Pam always provides the girls with lovely dresses for Christmas.

And not to be left out, the men in my life.

This is probably the first gift that Luken was ever really interested in. He was not all that interested in opening his birthday gifts.

He really got into it after this.

Makayla with her new puppy

Sam with her "I love this" look.

Makayla's new favorite color is silver. Pam found her some shine silver snow boots, which she proceed to wear for the rest of the night.

This is at Grandpa Ray and Grandma Georgia's.

Sam, Makayla, and Luken are with Aliah and Bryke. These are their second cousin that they love to get the opportunity to visit.

All three of the girls got new coats, so nice.

Luken getting help from his dad in opening his gifts.

This is a picture of my son right before he throws that lens cap at me. The child cannot help but throwing things.

We had a great time Christmas Eve. This year I had myself organized to the point that I did not have anything to do when we got home. Previous years, I had gifts to finish and wrap, stockings to stuff, and food to get started. Thankfully that was not the case this year.

His Ride

Luken loves to sit in things. Right now, his favorite movie is Cars. He likes to sit in something and watch it.

Snow Day with Sledding

Like yesterday, my pictures are way behind. This were taken on the 5th of December. We had a great day of sledding and fun together.

Thank you so much, Great Grandpa and Great Grandma. Luken loves his snowsuit and boots.

Sam and Makayla doing a bit of snow surfing.

Jeremy finally has some time to play.

Luken getting a ride to the sledding hill.

This is Samantha and me. We have a great sledding hill. It is a hike to go up, but coming back down is so fun.

Makayla practicing her seal skills.

Luken going sledding for the first time. He loved it in a rather stoic manner.

Luken just did not want to have his picture taken.

This was Luken's last sledding trip of the day. He and I went inside after this. We had a lot of fun. I am hoping at some point we will get this snow again and can have a sledding party.

Christmas Dresses

Here are the kids in the Christmas dresses. Thank you so much, Grandma Pam. She buys the girls nice dresses every year and we so appreciate it. This is actually the Sunday before Christmas.

Our Winter Wonderland

This is what our house looking like at the beginning of the month. A week after I took this picture, it warmed up and the majority of our snow melted. Like I have mentioned before though, the wind creates big drifts of snow, so those were still here.

Isn't this a lovely picture though? I love it when it looks like this.

Luken and a black eye

Our little man has acquired for himself a black eye. Well, he did have a little help, but his sister feels really bad and does not like to have the story repeated. As you can see, it is not all that bad. The squinting in the pictures is not because his eye is that swollen. It is just because of the camera flash. He just had a bit of purple underneath his eye.
