Father's Day

Yes, it has come and gone and I am just now getting these pictures up. Life has been busy lately.

This year we took Jeremy on a camp out for Father's Day. Life being what it is, our camp out was in the backyard. We have all the amenities that all for a camp out.

We cook hot dogs and roasted marshmallows and just had some good family time.

They decided to squish Bailee who was lying on the bench.

Then I decided that Jeremy needed some pictures with his children.

Look at those faces.

I ended up taking his picture with each one of the kids.

The girls made him homemade peanut butter cups. He enjoyed these immensely.

I hope all of you also had a wonderful Father's Day and took time to honor your father.

New Family Members

Sadly enough, over the last few weeks, we have found ourselves without pets.
During the winter months, we find ourselves with many a mice in the house. Cats are really a necessity up here, so we decided to get kittens.

Brenda and I had talked recently and kittens were mentioned. She was keeping an ear out for any and found us some. Bailee and Jeremy picked them up Monday night.

As you can imagine, they are well loved. They are both boys. The orange one's name is Tootles and the greys one's name is Smokey.

Tootles is getting a bit too much love from Luken.

We got them in the evening. I did not think that Luken would remember them come morning. I was wrong. The first thing he said to me was "My baby meows". It was so cute. Thankfully, he has three older sisters, so I know they will survive to be adult cats.

They are just too cute and they are so friendly. When we take them out of their box they sleep in, they come right to your feet wanting love.

If you are in need of a kitty fix, please come visit us.

More Animal Visitors

We found this cute fellow in the garden.

The girls were so excited to see him. They were hoping to keep him.

Then the next day, we had this fine fellow show up and starting eating our raspberry plants.

Sammy was most upset when I scared it away.

We live in an area full of wildlife.

Visit to Grandma Brenda's

Not to long ago, we went for a visit to Grandma Brenda's.

The kids rode Grandpa's rocking horse, played tic-tac-toe, and baseball.

We had a great visit.

Benefit Dance Concert

I know some of you have already received an email from me regarding this, but for those who have not, I wanted to put it out there again.

I just wanted to let you know about a great opportunity happening next week. As you know, all three of our girls participate with River City Dance, what you might not know is that every other year Shelleigh tries to bring professional dancers to do a workshop for the kids of our dance school and the surrounding area.

This year she has brought in Light of the World Ballet. The leader of the troupe is Ashley Rollinson who comes from New York State. She has been dancing professionally for over 10 years now and her company travels around the world bring the light of Jesus through dance.

Below is a flyer for a benefit concert that Light of the World Ballet will be doing next Thursday, June 23rd. There is a $5 admission. The proceeds will be going to a local organization called Homes of Hope that helps foster kids and families.

Bailee will also be participate in this concert. We would love to have you come support Bailee and a good cause.

Cousins

These two are quite the pair. Luken loves Anjahli. He even tells Brittney "my baby" when referring to her, but he is not sure how she fits into his life. He is not all the good at sharing with her and he loves to say "mo, baby". We cannot get him to call her anything but baby. I know they will be the best of buds when she is a bit older though.

Free Fishing Day

On Luken's birthday, it was free fishing day in Idaho. We decided that would be a great thing to do for his birthday. We started at a little pond in North Lewiston. We did find any fish there, so we moved to the new fishing pond at Kiwanis Park.

The girls last a lot longer than I expected. No one caught any fish, but Jeremy.

Luken was not all that interested in fishing. He did enjoying feeding the ducks and geese though. He also enjoyed throwing rocks in the water. This could be part of the reason why we did catch any fish.

He did take one small break to try fishing out.

New Bike

Luken has a new bike. It is called a Y Bike. It was made to help kids learn the balance they will need in riding a regular bike. It has a double back tire that gives it more stability, but it still makes them balance it.

We saw it in Costco recently and new it would be just what Luken would want to spend his birthday money on. He loves it. Doesn't he just look cool!
