Luken was given this stuffed dog by Uncle Justin and Aunt Brittney and it has become his "blanket". Dog was probably the very first word his said that he knew what he was saying. Mama and Dada were just fun sounds to make, but Dog was a word he knew.Around the time he turned one was when he decided this particular dog was going to be his companion. Now when he wakes in the middle of the night, I have to make sure Dog is beside him, so he can put his arm around it or he will not go back to sleep.
This was the only time I have allowed dog to sit in the high chair with him, though. And as much as Luken does not like it, Dog does not go into church or stores with us. He must stay in the van. I am not sure what we will do if Dog ever gets lost.
maybe you'd better find a backup Dog just in case? we had a backup for Caedmon's blanket but never found a match to Addi's lavendar chenille number i got from Ross. that thing is literally disintegrating, i've had to sew the taggie back on it recently, and it is being held together in one spot by a hair band : )
ReplyDeleteYeah, we have talked about that. I am not sure what we would do. Dog was just a random stuffed animal purchase at Walmart. I might try to google him one of these days to see if I can get another.
