New Author (to me) - Elizabeth Peters

This is my new favorite author.  I just happened to stumble across her when I was looking for audiobooks at the library.  Her actually name is Barbara Mertz, but she writes under her real name and two different pseudonyms - Elizabeth Peters and Barbara Michaels.  She has a Ph.D in Egyptology, so many of her stories take place in Egypt.

So far, I have only delved into her Amelia Peabody novels.  I have two down and am looking forward to reading the remaining 17.  These novels take place in the late 1800s and early 1900s.  I love the language and the proper way people are suppose to treat each other.  I love everything about Egypt.  These stories are mysteries and although some moments are predictable, I have truly enjoyed the two I have read/listened to so far.

I would highly recommend check her out if you enjoy period mysteries with just a touch of romance, not much.
