Get Firewood

We usually spend a ton of money each year on wood.

This year we thought we would get a $25 permit and get our own. We did not know what a challenge that would be.

We had a lot of fun though spending the day in the woods.

It is sad to say, Josh and Jake, but my girls are not us. Every little big was a screech. Every little bit of dirt had to be gotten rid of before we moved on. It was hysterical. (It wasn't quite that bad, but close.)

It reminded me so much of my childhood. We were up in the Umatilla forest and the smells were all the same as Badger Mountain. The terrain was all the same. I loved it. Bring on being a kid.

Luken LOVED it. The kid loves the dirt. Anytime he can be outside he is in heaven.

I saw this lovely white butterfly. I am not sure why the picture came up sideways. It is not sideways in my computer.

Luken did not want my love. He wanted to be down playing with the chainsaw.

Then, on the way home, we got to see some big horn sheep. I have never seen any in the wild before. They are so incredible. We did see a male with a huge set of horns, but he was shy and would not allow me to take his picture.

Spending time in God's creation is an incredible thing. I wish I did it more.

Movius Family - Labor Day Weekend

Sunday, we were at Ted and Brenda's. This is Makayla at her most. I think I will leave it at that.

Ted, who was just home for the weekend. We continue to pray that he will find a job closer to home.

Bret, Brenda, and Elias - This picture made me notice just how much Bret looks like his mom.

This is Brenda's nephew, Eric and his girlfriend, Samantha.

Sam and Payton - Sam is two years younger than Payton.

Roy, Brenda's brother, brought his dog, Ginger. She was the hit of the afternoon.

This is Bryan and Brenda's brother, Roy. Bryan was getting after me for taking his picture.

We had a great afternoon. The kids love to get together with all of their cousins.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to two family gatherings the weekend of Labor Day. This is the first a Grandpa Ray and Grandma George's.

This swing set is always the hit for the great grandkids.

This is Sam and Bryke. He is 8 months older than Sam.

Bailee was sporting a bit of teenage attitude when it came to getting her picture taken.

My husband - need I say more?!

This is Bailee and Aliah, Bryke's sister. They love Bailee. Bailee is so good with younger kids. I am excited to see what God does with that over the years. She is definitely your Granddaughter, Mom.

River City Dance Outreach Group

This year River City Dance is exploring having an outreach group. I, personally, am very excited by this. This groups focus is to go out and bring Jesus to people through dance. They will also minister through prayer and hopefully other gifts of the Spirit. Bailee is a part of this group and know it is going to change her life.

The above picture is centered on Largent. He is such a great young man of God. I am just blessed to know him and have him a part of the family. He is helping to lead this group. He is also a leader in our youth group and he keeps a close watch on Bailee. I love it!!

Largent and Brea H. lead this meet and greet time. They had the kids do several mixer games. This one had the person in the middle choose someone, go up to them and say "Honey, if you love me, you will smile for me." The object for the middle person is to get the other person to smile or laugh. This is Bailee preparing herself not to smile or laugh.

Bailee's turn to do the sweet talking.

In another mixer, they were split up into groups of three and asked to make up a call. They then mixed them up and spread them out. Then they asked them to close their eyes and try to find their group by making their call. It was definitely entertaining to watch.

And here they are. Like I said, I am really looking forward to seeing what God has for this group through this year.

The Lollipop Guild

Jeremy came home one day to find Luken dressed like this. He told me that this outfit reminded him of the members of the Lollipop Guild from the Wizard of Oz. I had to agree with him.

Luken has taken a liking to Makayla's play guitar. He will sing whenever he plays it. It is too cute. We have not been able to get it on video yet though.

School Begins

Here are the girls on our first day of school. I have them all in what we have dubbed our "schoolroom." Last year, Bailee was the only one in there, but I am trying to keep the school stuff from finding its way all over the house.

The younger girls created cubicles for themselves. This helps keep everyone do what they need to be doing.

It has been fun so far. We are doing some subjects together and then others are on their own. It is definitely more challenging this year. Thankfully, Luken is taking a nap right through the busiest part for me.

He was a wake one day and that was a hard one to get through.

I want to tell you about what we are doing subject wise, because I found some great stuff, but that will have to come later.

Falling UP the Stairs

Makayla had a spill about a week and a half ago. It was late night and she was tired. She slipped on one of the stairs and smacked her face on one of the stairs.

Jeremy said there was not a lot of blood, but it seems like a lot to me. She split her lip front to back and pushed up the skin above her top teeth. She looked really bad for two days. By the third, it had improved.

Thankfully, she is a tough little one. After the initial night, she basically ignored it and went on with life.

The picture does not do it justice. The morning after she just did not want to get her picture taken. Can you imagine that?

Shower for Eliza Leister

Debbie, above, threw a shower for Rachel and baby, Eliza. It was a nice, but missing a baby.

Jessie was so nice to allow the girls to help her with the gifts.

There were many family and friends there.

And Bill was so gracious to be there and help out with technical stuff.

Cute Girls

We attended a baby shower in honor of our new niece and cousin, Eliza, who lives in Kenya.

Sam and Makayla thought it was the appropriate time to pull out their dresses from Kenya.

They are quite the models, aren't they?
