Lost Tooth #2

Yep, another tooth. It has been loose for about a week now. Every once in a while, she would wiggle it to see if it was any looser. Today was the day. She was able to wiggle it a lot today until she came to show me her horizontal tooth.

I have to admit I do not like loose tooth. I am good once they are out, but I do not like to look at them when they are loose or to help loose them.
Anyway, she wiggled the little thing right out of her mouth. It is amazing how much excitement comes with lost teeth.

The Chicks

My sister-in-law, Ange, has acquired some chicks for their family
and of course the girls wanted to go visit them.

They had received them at different intervals and so they were of different sizes.
The one they loved the best was the littlest, newest arrival, which is the one
Bailee is holding in the first picture. Makayla was not all that sure about the chicks
and did not want to hold them or touch them. The other girls wanted to bring one home.

This is my niece, Roslynn. Can you see all the mischief behind those eyes?

This is Ysabelle and one of Sam and Makayla's favorite people.

Roslynn did not want to miss out on the action.

Uncle Jeremy did not feel like he should be left out in the play.
What do you think of my husband as a blond?

Pioneer Park

This post is really for my out of town family. This is Pioneer Park and this
use to be the fountain that was in the middle of the park. I just thought you
might like to see some of the changes that are going on in the valley.

Randi - For the next change, I will get some pictures of the still in progress,
but almost completed, nursing complex at LCSC. You should see it.

Ghormley Park - Moscow

Saturday was such a nice day up here on the hill, we decided to go looking for another park
to take the little girls to. We ended up in Moscow and a little park on the U of I campus,
Ghormley Park.
This time we had dad with us, so the girls had someone they could play with.

Dad is always helpful when it comes to crossing the bars.

It was a fun time with the little ones, who are really not so little anymore.

If you are wondering where Bailee is, she had stayed the night with a friend
to help babysit. Then she went to Lewiston's Junior Miss Saturday night. I think
the highlight of the evening was meeting Billy Jeffrey.

My Cactus

I was given this cactus by our Grandma Mary and it has finally
decided to bloom. It takes things much longer to bloom up here,
because it is colder long. But it has blooms on every end and I know
it is going to be amazing looking when they open up.

Another Photo Shoot

The girls did another photo shoot. This may be the last for a while though.
I had to totally debug my camera when I got it back.

For those of you who spent time in the 80s - early 90s,
do these outfits look familiar to you?

Bailee, of course, was the one to help them dress, do their hair
and makeup.

I am not sure if she had her sister take this or if she set it up
with the timer. She really looks 80s to me.

Family Gatherings

A couple of weeks ago, we went to a birthday party for Jeremy's mom and cousin.
We had a good time with family and the girls had a great time playing with their grandpas.

Sam and Makayla thought it would be fun to dress Grandpa Mike up as a princess.
They were using the tissue paper that was from the gifts.

Then they disappeared into the back bedroom to play with the dollhouse and toys that
Grandma Georgia has for them. Eventually, they were joined by Grandpa Mike and Grandpa Ray.

A grandpa is an irreplaceable relationship.

Our First Visit to the Park

The little girls and I had some time on our hands yesterday, so we took our first trip to
the park. They were very excited. The weather was really nice, but a bit cold for
this mom who was doing more sitting and watching than anything.

We did meet a couple of cute little boys also. They were twins and they
were very petite. Their mom told me that they had been born around 2lbs.
They are definitely making up for lost time though. They were all over the place.

The girls loved their trip to the park. I know it will be a
frequent request when we are downtown from here on out.

Dad and the Little Girls

Whenever the camera comes out, the girls want their pictures taken.
For some reason this morning, they decided to get up and put dresses on.
All dressed up with no where to go, but Dad was willing to get his picture
taken with the dressed up beauties.

2nd OB Appt

So I have had my second ob appointment. I took my husband along with me this time, since it was basically a baby listening appointment.

When we got there, the waiting room was full. Our doctor had been called to the hospital twice in the course of the morning, so all of the appointments were backed up. We listened to some very interesting waiting room conversation before our appointment.

We were finally called back and I had to go through the usual routine - pee in a cup, get weighed, and answer many questions that at normal times I would not tell a complete stranger.

Then it was back to what Jeremy referred to as the other waiting room. Thankfully, we were only there for about 5 more minutes. The doctor came in and ask me some more questions I did not want to answer.

It was then time for the whole point of the visit. To hear the baby's heartbeat and be told by the doctor that all was well. So I laid back on the table and exposed the belly. She put the nice cold gel on my belly and began to listen. She picked up the heartbeat right away, but baby Movius only allowed listening for about 15 seconds. Then he was done and he gave the wand a kick. The doctor did say that all was well. All of my blood tests and everything came back good.

I have another appointment in a month. I am not sure if I will get Jeremy to accompany to this one though.

Plugged In Online

For those of you looking for a good preview of movies, games, and music, I have got the sight for you. It is called Plugged In Online. I use it mostly for movies, but I have also read a review or two about new music albums coming out. This website is a part of Dr. Dobson's ministry Focus on the Family.

One thing I like about this site, especially the movie reviews, is that it allows you to make the decision. It gives you the facts regarding the movie, but it does not tell you what to think. At the end, it tells you what the reviewer thinks, but they leave it open to you to make the decision.

Just so you know, they get graphic. In the sense that they say, this sex scene happens and the front and back of a woman are completely shown. I won't want any of you to be shocked. I appreciate the detail, because I can turn around and talk with my 16-year-old brother and tell him exactly why I do not think he should watch a movie. Not all of you may be in that position yet.

Anyway, I encourage you to check it out if you never have next time you find a movie you or your kids are interested in watching.

Matt Potratz

Please be in pray for Matt Potratz. He was in a severe accident last weekend. I have included the website that will allow you to get up to date information on his condition. He is in his late twenties, married, and has three young sons. Matt Potratz

Photo Shoot

Bailee is big into doing photo shoots with her sisters right now. She loves to dress them up and put makeup on them. Then she creates the environment she wants. Then it is picture taking time. It is funny to listen to all of this going on. Makayla has distinct ideas of how she wants her pictures taken and they usually do not flow with what her big sister wants. Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of the pictures. They are always fun to look at.

Winters Not Over Yet

So this was yesterday. It snowed quite a bit, but did not really start to stick until yesterday afternoon and last night.

This was what we woke to this morning. It is only about 2 to 3 inches. I was sure that spring was on its way and winter was over, but obviously winter wants to have a last hurrah. On Accuweather, it said we are suppose to get up to 4 more inches this weekend. We will see though.

Leister's In Kenya Again

For those of you who read my earlier post regarding my parents, I wanted to let you know that my mom updated her blog today. It is full of the life experiences they are getting in Kenya. I encourage you to read it.

You can find them at Leister's Kenyan Life.
