Our Pool and Visitors

I have been asking Jeremy for this pool for the girls from the beginning of the summer. We were finally in the position to get it. I am so thankful with hotter days on the way. Here are Sam and Mak posing for the camera. Have you soon two more cheesy girls in your life!

We then had the Betts family bring us dinner and stay to enjoy it with us.

All the girls enjoyed the pool.

I could not get Mya to look up at me.

A Day with the Girls

Bailee was at Arise all last week, so it was just the three little ones and me during the day.

They made a lemon cake from scratch. They did not like it all that much though.

They then were given some play makeup from a friend. So they decided to make themselves up. Sammy was all about moderation. Makayla, not so much.

Sam took this picture. I am not sure if you can tell I had a makeover also.

This picture was taken by Makayla. What do you think of the little guy's look?

Home At Last

I got to come home yesterday without my catheter. I was very excited about that. I just came home with different types of antibiotics and some pain killers. I am feeling much better, but sore in the abdominal area.

Having the catheter removed was a very different experience. It did not hurt, but it is something I would not want to have to go through again.

Well, I have no pictures from the 4th. I am disappointed by this, but there was not much that I could. We will all remember this was the holiday Mom spent in the hospital.

Hope you all had great weekends.

In the Hospital Again

Yep, I am writing this from St. Joes where I am admitted as a patient. At the beginning of this week, I began to run a low grade fever, which I believe I mentioned in a previous post.

I went to see my Dr. yesterday and has she was pressing around on my abdomen, she felt a funny lump. She decided that I needed a CT scan and she got it scheduled for last night.

I came in at 4:00pm and got this nasty dye drink, so they could what they were looking for on the CT. It was disgusting and I had to drink 32 oz of it. Smelled like Sprite, tasted like dish soap.

Then I came back at 7:00pm for the CT scan. I had to wait while the Dr. looked at it and then called my OB Dr. with his diagnosis.

What he found was like an abscess between my front abdominal wall and my back abdominal wall. His first measurement was tennis ball sized.

After that, my Dr. organized things so that I could be admitted at 7am this morning and they would drain it and put me on IV antibiotics.

So here, I am. I had it drained around 9:30am and I have a tube coming out of me collecting all the leftovers. What the Dr. drained off right then was really disgusting and infected. It was what was causing my fever.

Thankfully, they were able to get me a room in the OB ward, so that Luken can stay with me.

They did a culture of the blood and once they find out what type of infection I have they will give me more antibiotics.

I am believing to get to go home tomorrow, but I might be here till Sunday. Please pray for me that this all gets taken care of this time so that I do not have to return here.

Our Life Recently

I thought I would give you an idea of what the month of June has been like for me.

8th - I was given the choice to be induced or not. I chose to be, which I should not have.
11th - Luken is born at 11:15pm. I was at the hospital by 6:15am. Needless to say, it was a long day.
15th - Luken's first doctor's appointment. He has gained 3 oz. He weighed 8lbs 10oz.
15th - I had to go to the ER, because of a pain I was having in my abdomin. I found out I had a bacterial infection in my uterus, probably due to being over checked during the inducing process.
25th - Took my last antibiotic and was feeling a lot better.
28th - Makayla got a LARGE piece of gum stuck in her hair. She had thought to save it behind her ear.
29th - Took Luken to get his circumcision. I did not watch, but I could hear him cry all the way down the hall. He really, really did not like it. It upset him so bad. He slept for the majority of the day.
29th - Luken was weighed and he weighed 10lbs 12oz. The child gained two whole pounds in two weeks.
30th - I visited the dentist and had three teeth filled. One was because a chunk had fallen out Sunday night.

My month has gone quickly with a lot happening. I hope yours was less full of not so good stuff.
